What is Bonding?

The bonding process involves reshaping and filling teeth with a composite resin that matches the natural tooth color. Thanks to these tooth-colored fillings, gaps between teeth are closed in a short time, and the patient achieves an aesthetic smile.

Bonding is among the most popular procedures evaluated in the field of aesthetic dentistry. The process is extremely simple and painless, which is why it is preferred by many patients.

Bonding Procedure

The bonding procedure is performed in the clinic and takes a maximum of 1 hour.

• First, a composite resin color is selected that matches the patient's tooth color as closely as possible.
• Then, a liquid is applied to help the bonding material adhere to the teeth.
• Afterwards, the composite resin is applied to the teeth, molded into the desired shape, and hardened with high-intensity light.
• Finally, after the resin has hardened, a few retouches are made. The teeth treated with bonding are polished until they look like other natural teeth.
